Ladder 1 arrived on scene and reported a smoke condition from an electrical vault in the basement, prompting the box to be filled. Companies stood by with precautionary lines stretched for over an hour until Eversource secured power to the vault.

*The unusual assignment due to the storm included an initial 1 and 1 response of Engine 5 and Ladder 1 on what normally would be a 2 and 1 response with Division 1. Additionally normally first due Engine 3 and Ladder 2 were tied up with other emergencies and were not assigned.
